Britain’s Heat Loss Maps Delayed by Warm Temperatures
climate change, conservation, energy, imagery December 11th, 2008In an ironic twist, Britain’s warm winters have delayed the use of aerial thermal imaging to monitor heat loss from homes. With many older homes lacking insulation, city councils around the country have promoted heat loss mapping as a means to encourage home owners to insulate their homes, and thus cut down on wasted energy while battling global warming.
The owner of the leading heat loss mapping company, Hot Mapping, is running at least three months behind schedule due to wetter and warmer winter weather.
