I blogged earlier about the beautiful topo map of Massachusetts that was created by Lars Ahlzen. Today Lars let me know that he updated the TopOSM site to include information on how the map was generated. There are nice details here on the tools that Lars used, some of the workarounds he needed to make, and the methods he employed to achieve the style that he was after.
