A friend tipped me off to a large number of GIS jobs listed with CareerBuilder in and around Colorado’s Front Range. A search on GIS for Denver yields 37 job listings from Boulder, Denver, Aurora, Broomfield, Thornton and Westminster. A lot of these job descriptions are similar, and most indicate that the company is confidential. Skill sets range widely from GIS technician to project software developer/analyst to a science lead job for an environmental and engineering consulting services company. I’m guessing that many of these jobs may be related to one large contract, but don’t have any insight into what the hiring company may be or the nature of the work. It’s great to see such a large number of jobs available in this down economy.
