Planet Action, the non-profit satellite imagery and geo-information organization focused on climate change, has announced plans to award more projects this year worldwide. The organization was started by Spot Image and ESRI last year, and currently supports more than 150 projects worldwide. Their call for projects was sent off to environmental NGOs, research laboratories, universities, and other institutions that are fighting climate change. Projects currently underway investigate and assess climate change focus on human issues, drought and desertification, water resources, forestry, biodiversity, oceans, ice, and overall awareness. New project proposals can be submitted on-line at www.planet-action.org.
