Share Your Office
community, public health October 31st, 2008Web Worker Daily has an interesting post about a startup company called ShareYourOffice.com that helps companies connect empty desks with web workers looking for a place to short-term office. The effort is beginning in France, where the federal government is interested in starting up more business incubators.
The service has some very interesting implications for knowledge workers that want to travel while they work. That’s a bit of an obsession of mine, although current family obligations put the possibility another ten years down the road. I confess jealousy and admiration about the around-the-world sailing trip that Frank Taylor of the Google Earth Blog is undertaking. Here’s an opportunity for landlubbers to get out and office around the world.
